MOTD (May 8, 2023)
The caption for today's MOTD sounds quite promotional, not to mention that the file itself is subject to an active deletion request. The file should be swapped out or at least the caption changed to be more neutral; the MOTD should not be a vehicle for advertising. Yeeno (talk) 00:15, 8 August 2023 (UTC)
Images Sounds Videos ... and?

Caption for Media of the Day
It appears that captions for Media of the Day have stopped being shown, or being entered. This has happened within the last week or so. Can anybody say if it is deliberate? Or is it a language selection thing? The captions are needed. Cheers. Rsteen (talk) 04:09, 25 September 2023 (UTC)
- It looks like they stopped being entered – yesterday’s caption was entered at 16:32 UTC yesterday, so it was missing for 16.5 hours. For the remaining few days of September, all files and captions have been entered by now. —Tacsipacsi (talk) 12:18, 26 September 2023 (UTC)
Picture of the day block on the main page of Wikimedia Commons is broken
Picture of the day block on the main page of Wikimedia Commons is stuck at some older picture of the day. In order to see it in effect you have to log out. It’s a serious issue of large scale that needs to be fixed – the majority of several hundred thousands daily visitors to the main page of Wikimedia Commons are non-registered users.
